We’re a little over a month away from the 2012 APA Summit on Friday, September 21. Let us know you’re attending the summit and spread the word to family and community members about this free event.
This historic event will celebrate Asian Pacific American unity, diversity and civic engagement in Washington State and we expect it to be the largest event of its kind in the nation.
Showcasing Asian and Pacific Islander cultural entertainment, organizations, and businesses, the summit will bring together registered voters who speak more than 20 languages and will help register additional voters. It also will feature a multilingual gubernatorial candidate forum with real-time translation.
Mee Moua, the first Hmong woman elected to a state senate and current President of the Asian American Justice Center in Washington, D.C., will be the keynote speaker.
